So happy with my tiny cactusses and little plants I’m growing.
Meet our pets Patrick and Kevin. For sure the easiest dogs you can get yourself.
Never enough plants in the house! Meet our indoor garden we made on some old stairs my grandpa used for painting in houses back in the days.
I have my own corner in the livingroom to DIY and remake my clothing with these retro Pfaff I got from an auntie.
I guess it was about time I should share some photo’s of my new appartement I share with my friend. We both love vintage accesories and furniture.. Although we don’t have the exact same taste in interior styling I think we made a good combination out of our stuff. The first 6 pics are from my bedroom. The other ones I took from the livingroom and open kitchen.

Last Thursday I randomly had a morning and afternoon off. I mostly work during the whole week, so when finding out I had a free day I thought.. “what the h* am I going to do!”
Well I woke up early because of the bright sunbeams shining on my face. Started off with some exercises and a healthy smoothie breakfast. Finding myself cleaning the house after that and decided I should go and finally buy myself some stuff at IKEA. So that’s what I did. Jumped on my bike and after a 15 minutes bike ride, I walked through an almost empty store and got myself those tiny cacti plants I’ve been wanting to have for so long! Ow and a tobacco plant with the height of more than a meter.. jup I managed to get it all save home by bike. I can tell, it was fun riding my bike, the plant blocking the view a bit, but ow did I feel like mother earth haha. Anyways, I’m happy with my new plants like a little child with a new toy.
I recently bought myself some vintage tins, already thinking about filling those with cactuses. Found them all at a second hand night market. An events that takes place once a year in Tilburg, and manages the whole city centre to be full of people selling their stuff on the streets. A great concept for a night out with friends for sure!
Planting the cacti left me with some needles in my hands though but guess that’s part of the deal right! And to finish my afternoon off, I had a nice chill session at the city park. Days like this make me happy!
This upcoming weekend, me and my friends are organizing a ‘garage sale’ in my old empty studio.
When moving you find so much stuff you actually forget about! And why keep it if you actually forgot about it?
For that reason, and since we do not have any room to stall random stuff, we came up with a cozy event to sell our items.
From clothing, to porcelain, to furniture to accessories, shoes and so on.. And lemonade of course!
If you live in Breda or neighborhood, make sure to come by and take a stroll through our little treasures.
I had a fun weekend. I’m used to not really have a weekend since I mostly work 6 days a week and have plenty enough other useful stuff to do. But this weekend I planned to spend time with my friends and do fun stuff. One of my friends recently got home from traveling for almost half a year, so we had to catch up and do some dancing! And so my friend from Refreshbug joined us as well, and stayed over. And what to do on a cold, dark and hungover Sunday? Yay, bake a healthy banana-carrot cake!
I love cookies but I need to stop eating those if I want to be able to wear my bikini again this summer. So we decided to bake something that is tasteful, heavy and healthy at the same time!
It’s just 125gr flour, baking powder, 115gr of melted (soy)butter, 2 eggs, 3 banana’s, 3 carrots, a hand full of raisins, walnuts and cinnamon. We literally didn’t use any sugar preparing this cake!
We mixed the carrot, banana’s, melted butter and eggs with a machine. After making a nice batter you just add the rest bit by bit and stir it with a spoon. In the oven for 50 min (180°C) and done! There’s your healthy breakfast or replacement for cookies and cake.
Last week I made another carrot banana cake, and added some cardamom and 2 apples as well. Tastes even better and a bit sweeter!
Wait, wait, wait for 50 minutes… (look at that cute face of her!)
It was about time I started customizing my surfboard so I will be able to surf around on the waves this summer with an awesome board. I first had to get the wax off the board so I’ll be able to put the artwork on there. A perfect job for a relaxed Friday night while watching a movie (Hotel Transylvania, such a cool movie haha!)
A few weeks ago I made some sketches, but not sure which one to choose yet. Started sketching one on the board to see how it kind of looks like on there.. Want to have this thing done by the end of March if I can find some time. So which design would you choose?
I took quite a bunch of pictures at the thrift store I told you about in a previous post. I made a selection of the ones I took, aren’t all the neon lights and mannequin heads cool?! Love this old and mysterious look and vibe.
