I’ve been spending more and more time and interest in interior styling lately.. But I found myself not doing anything with it in real life. Thinking what I could change about this fact I woke up past sunday and thought.. why not use my own furniture, accessories etc. to make some ensembles and show my taste within interior styling!
And so there was a new concept born. Throughout the coming months, I will show you interior ensembles coming from my own house. Hopefully I can take this concept to a next level, so I’ll not be limited by the walls of my own house.. but that’s something for the future.
Stuff for my first ensemble.. Glass Bottles – Dille & Kamille Tables – Retro/Second hand Table light & Klimt print – IKEA
Walking the streets, you might have noticed more and more people are getting a nose piercing.. not only girls, guys as well!
While traveling I met lots of australian guys and half of them already had a nose ring, but the hype is slowly spreading through Europe now as well. I myself got one last year, and like to see some people are joining me in getting one.
I collected some images that might inspire you (or change your opinion about them) oh and the last photo is me hahah..
Would you get one?
Past saturday my sis and I went to the ‘Stedelijk Museum’ together with our parents. A so-called ‘day out with the family’.
The museum has been closed for quit a few years for a renovation. Right now the building has an old part and a really cool modern part attached to it. Lots of people call it the ‘bad tub’ right now since it kind of looks like it haha. Well, a massive one though! I was impressed by the size while walking towards the building.
The museum has different halls, with different kinds of art. The first part is mostly modern and conceptual, which I don’t really like that much.. and neither does the rest of my family, so we didn’t waste too much time looking at for example an ensemble of trash-bins and lava lights. The part with the ‘old’ paintings is nice, they have some real master pieces there, like paintings from Van Gogh, Kandinsky, Mondriaan, EL Lissitzky, Braque and so on…
The exhibition I liked most is where they show ceramics, jewelry, furnitures and graphic imprints all from around the 60 till now. I wasn’t able to make nice pictures there unfortunately.
Some very nice new and retro furniture designs. Which ones are the old ones? I couldn’t hardly tell, but one thing is clear.. I would definitly love to have these items in my house. Especially the locker closet and the 2nd chair with the same greenish coloured legs and wooden seating.
Loving these outfits! A touch of tomboy with a toque, blouse, sweater, pair of boots or a hat worn on their feminine shapes combined with a dress, sunglasses, accessories or lipstick. Hand me those outfits and I will wear them for sure! Don’t you just love those combinations?
Some packaging designs I collected that would totally look great in your interior, kitchen or on the table..
Wouldn’t you just buy these for their looks instead what’s inside?
I really like using jars, bottles etc as accessories for my interior, just like the bottles with the branches. I actually have something similar standing right next to me on the dinner table.
